Zarza Dissertation Defense
Sabrina Zarza will be discussing her dissertation, titled Flying Above the Cloaks of Whiteness: A Bruja’s Examination of Latiné Servingness in
Postsecondary Mathematics on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 2:00pm. The presentation will be in the 360 room in the
Main Library which is on the second floor (room 201) and also on Zoom. Please register

about joining the meeting.
In addition to a formal presentation, there will be a viewing of a 360-degree video testimonio, using MSU’s 360 room in the Digital scholarship lab (the same office area the presentation is located). This portion of the dissertation defense is only available for those attending in person.
Beth Herbel-Eisenmann is the Guidance Committee Chairperson and Dissertation Director. Other committee members include co-advisor/co-chair Matt Voigt, Isabel Ayala, and Terah Venzant Chambers.
