MSU Math Ed at 2025 AERA Conference

Mathematics education graduate students and faculty from MSU will be presenting at the 2025 American Educational Research Association (AERA) Conference this week, along with a number of colleagues. Those listed in the program this year include Katie Tasch Bielecki (CITE), Terah T. Venzant Chambers (The Graduate School and TE Department), Maria Cruciani, Alden J. Edson, Beth Herbel-Eisenmann, Taren Going, Joanne E. Marciano (TE Department), Samuela Mouzaoir (Educational Psychology), Sunyoung Park, and Sabrina N. Zarza. 

AERA organization logoFounded in 1916, AERA is a national research society committed to advancing educational knowledge, fostering scholarly inquiry, and promoting the practical application of research to improve education and serve the public good. 

With 12 divisions and over 150 special interest groups, AERA provides a collaborative space for education researchers. Graduate students benefit from the support of the Graduate Student Council (GSC), which offers networking and professional development opportunities. Additionally, the AERA Consortium of University and Research Institutions facilitates engagement between academic and non-university-based research organizations, fostering policy discussions and contributing to significant research initiatives.

The theme for the 2025 AERA conference is "Research, Remedy, and Repair: Toward Just Education Renewal." This theme highlights the critical role of research in addressing educational disparities, implementing meaningful remedies, and repairing systemic inequities to achieve just education renewal.

The conference will take place in Denver, Colorado, from April 23-27, with sessions held at the Colorado Convention Center. Sessions highlighting mathematics education presenters or co-presenters from MSU are listed below.
