Burrill Receives T-Cubed Leadership Award
Gail Burrill recently received the 2024 Teachers Teaching with Technology (T-Cubed) Leadership Award.
The T-Cubed Leadership Awards recognize educators who have exemplified the ideals of the T-Cubed Program – that is to enhance mathematics and science teaching and learning through the creative and enthusiastic application of classroom technology.
For 35 years, Teachers Teaching with Technology™ (T³™) professional development has empowered educators to make a lasting impact on student success by exploring new ways to enhance teaching and learning in math, science and STEM using TI technology.
Gail is the President of the prestigious Council of Presidential Awardees in Mathematics (CPAM). CPAM is an organization of recipients of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching. The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) program was established in 1983 by The White House and is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF). CPAM’s first annual meeting as an official organization was held in Washington, D.C., in conjunction with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Annual Meeting in April 1986. The mission of CPAM is to utilize the uniqueness and talents of its membership to influence the processes of teaching mathematics in order to promote and provide appropriate mathematical experiences for students.
