2023 MI-AMTE CAC/Math in Action Conferences

The 2023 MI-AMTE Conversations Among Colleagues (CAC) Conference will be held in conjunction with the Math in Action Conference on Saturday, February 25th at Grand Valley State University. Participants can attend these conferences in person or remotely. Due to these conferences occurring simultaneously, there will be overlapping programs and joint keynote sessions.

The Math in Action Conference will have energetic and informative discussions of current issues concerning mathematics education, also providing an opportunity for practicing PreK-12 teachers, prospective teachers, curriculum directors, and college and university faculty to share ideas, concerns, and resources.

The Conversations Among Colleagues Conference was designed in 2003-2004 to facilitate conversations between and among mathematicians, mathematics educators, and leaders in mathematics education in Michigan. Conversations Among Colleagues is the official conference of Michigan Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (MI-AMTE).

The conferences will consist of a choice of six hour-long sessions, with each session having multiple interactive presentations all related to mathematics. Several from the math ed group at Michigan State University will be attending the conferences, and the Connected Mathematics Project team will be presenting at the Conversation Among Colleagues Conference. Their presentation information at MI-AMTE CAC is listed below:

Saturday, February 25

We hope you will be able to attend this Saturday, either in person or remotely.
