Math Ed Faculty Share Research in Cambridge

Betty at Mathematical Bridge in CambridgeIn early August, Betty Phillips and AJ Edson were invited to speak at King's College in Cambridge, England for the 16th International Conference of the Mathematics Education for the Future Project.

Betty and AJ's talk was titled The Potential of Digital Collaborative Environments for Problem-Based Mathematics Curriculum

 

Gail Burrill PhotoGail Burrill spoke with Thomas Dick from Oregon State University on Connecting Mathematics to the World: Engaging Students with Data Science. Gail also gave another talk later in the week titled Data Science and Mathematical Modeling: Connecting Mathematics to the World in which Students Live.

Their talks were well received by participants from over 25 countries.
